A First Introduction

Discovery Shared Across Generations

A first dolphin encounter often unfolds through small reactions: a child’s attentive gaze, a parent’s smile or a question prompted by an unfamiliar movement. Guided explanations give those moments context, introducing the group to dolphin behavior while allowing families to experience the encounter together.

Choosing a dolphin experience begins with understanding how each person in the group would like to participate. Dolphin Encounter centers on observation and interaction from a platform, making it an option to consider when swimming is not the purpose of the visit.
For families with young children, a simple conversation beforehand can help make the setting familiar. Explain that a specialist will introduce the dolphins and guide the group through each interaction. Invite older children to think of a question they would like to ask, whether about communication, movement or daily care.
During the encounter, different members of the family may notice different things. Comparing those observations afterward gives children a chance to describe the experience in their own words. A shared meal later in the day can provide a relaxed setting for that conversation.
When planning the visit, include time to prepare and change afterward. Confirm the number of paying accompanying participants before reserving, particularly when traveling with several children of different ages and heights.
